Exxon Mobil Corporation and Synthetic Genomics Inc., will announce the next step in their research to develop next generation biofuels from photosynthetic algae at a press conference at SGI headquarters in La Jolla, California on July 14, 2010.

Dr. Emil Jacobs, vice president of research and development at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company, and Dr. J. Craig Venter, founder and CEO of Synthetic Genomics Inc., will make the announcement.
